PYGA is a 501c(3) educational golf program that promotes the highest standards of golf and education. PYGA standards are founded upon the fundamental principals of education, sportsmanship, integrity and respect for others. The program will stress education and the learning process as fundamental underlying qualities of good sportsmanship. PYGA emphasizes, integrity, truthfulness, modesty, honor and reverence as daily ingredients of effective life-style for inner-city youth and all youth seeking to learn the fundamentals of successful golf.
PYGA is urgently needed because minority and inner-city youth are not exposed to golf in the proper manner. Many of these youngsters are unable to afford the cost of playing the game, equipment, instruction and golf events, nor do they receive exposure to proper supervision and transportation to golf events. PYGA wants to be held accountable for helping interested youth to learn these character enhancing and self-worth skills of a lifetime.
